Pearl River Woman Threatens Man With Air Rifle, Police Say

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Orangetown police have charged a 39-year-old resident of Pearl River with menacing, following an alleged domestic incident.

The suspect, identified as Marlena Hartman, was involved in a verbal argument with a man, police report.

During the course of the dispute, Hartman picked up an air rifle and intentionally threatened the man with it, according to officials.

Hartman was arrested on Sunday, April 3, at approximately 9:56 p.m., then transported to Orangetown Police Headquarters for processing, police report.

She has been charged with menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, according to police.

The defendant was arraigned in Orangetown Court, then released without bail. She is due to return to court on Monday, April 11, according to officials.
