Pearl River Man Crashes Car Stolen From Hospital, Police Say

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - A Rockland County man is facing a felony charge after stealing a vehicle from a local hospital and getting into an accident on the Garden State Parkway, state police said.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, police were dispatched to a stretch of the GSP, where there were reports of a one-vehicle crash.

During the subsequent investigation at the scene, it was determined that 42-year-old Pearl River resident Luigi Depasquale took a vehicle from a local hospital in Nyack without the owner’s permission, police said. He was involved in the crash shortly thereafter on the parkway.

Depasquale was arrested and charged with a felony count of third-degree grand larceny. He is due to be arraigned at a later time, police said.
