New City Man Found Passed Out At Wheel In Pearl River Revived, Arrested

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- A New City man who was found slumped over the wheel of his car at a stop light in Pearl River is facing charges of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, Orangetown police said.

Orangetown police revived a driver who was found passed out at the wheel in Pearl River on Sunday, Feb. 7, by administering Narcan, a medicine that counteracts the effects of opioid drugs.

Michael Ubriaco, 28, was passed out and "unresponsive" in his car early Sunday, Feb. 7, at the intersection of Crooked Hill and North Middletown roads, police said.

The officer who found Ubriaco administered Narcan, a medicine which counteracts the effects of opioid drugs, police said.

Ubriaco was revived and taken to Nyack Hospital where he was treated and released into the care of a family member, police said.

He is to appear in Orangetown Court on Tuesday, Feb. 16, police said.
