Man Charged With DWI After Crash In Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- A Blauvelt man was nabbed for DWI following a traffic crash on Tuesday, May 23 in Orangeburg, according to the Orangetown Police Department.

Ralph Gibbons, 62, was charged after police responded to an accident on Parkway Drive and found Gibbons with slurred speech and the odor of alcohol on his breath, police said.

Police conducted a number of sobriety tests on the scene, which Gibbons failed. He also failed a breathalyzer test at the police station, police said.

Gibbons was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on June 28.
