Darnell Ghee, 31, of Spring Valley, was charged with 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon after he was found to be carrying an illegal gravity knife.
Under New York state penal law, a gravity knife is defined as any knife that has a blade “which is released from the handle or sheath … by the force of gravity or the application of centrifugal force.”
Police said Ghee was also charged with disorderly conduct in connection with the disturbance early Friday morning at The Pour House, a tavern located at 102 Main St. in the village.
Ghee was acting, they said, in a “violent and tumultuous manner.”
He was arrested, later released on bail and is to appear in Nyack Justice Court at an unspecified date.
Police said they also arrested Antoine Tapia, 31, of Clarkstown.
He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, after he damaged some “equipment” at the bar, police said.
Tapia was arraigned in Nyack Justice Court and sent to Rockland County Jail, police said.
