Submissions From Rockland County Teen Writers Sought For Book

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rockland County teenagers may enter their submissions to the The Teen Librarian Division of the Library Association of Rockland County's SCRAWL: Rockland Teens Write 2016 and get published.

The first collection of works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry written by teenagers in Rockland County is due out May 13.

The contest is open to anyone in grades 6-12 that lives in Rockland County. 

Submissions may be no longer than 2000 words in length. 

This will be a juried publication featuring guest editors Carolyn MacCullough, Emmy Laybourne, and JG Faherty.

A separate art contest will be held for the cover.

The entry deadline is Feb. 8.
