The DEC said that the overflow occurred on Saturday, Dec. 12, near, or at, 5 Reina Court in the Clarkstown hamlet.

The discharge sparked concerns about DeForest Lake, a nearby reservoir.

The overflow was blamed on debris blocking the sanitary sewer line. It took authorities about two hours to correct the problem.
