It was an exciting day for 127 people as they were sworn in as "official" United States citizens during a ceremony at the Fire Training Center in Pomona.
The group took the Oath of Office on Friday as it was administered by Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato during a naturalization ceremony.
"Congratulations my fellow Americans and welcome to our great country," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. "We thank you and our servicemen and women- without them we would not have the freedom we have today."
