His next parole hearing is in May. Bentz, 48, was convicted of stabbing Hiep, of West Nyack, more than 80 times in February 1992, then dumping his body at Clausland Mountain in Blauvelt with the help Charles Hemstreet, Hiep's friend and business partner, lohud.com said.
The parole panel determined that Bentz is still a threat to society. Hemstreet, 68, is eligible to apply for early release in 2020, lohud.com reported.
