Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Rockland

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in the area of southbound I-87 near the Ramapo service area early Sunday morning, state police said.

The right lane remains closed for accident reconstruction and motorists should expect delays, police said.

The accident, which occurred around 4 a.m., is currently being reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and is still under investigation.
