Chiku Awali African Dance Stages Festival In Sparkill

SPARKILL, N.Y. -- Chiku Awali African Dance, Arts & Culture Inc. presents an African dancing and drumming festival featuring a West African dance workshop, drumming workshop and an African market Saturday in Sparkill.

The festival, called The Aza, will be from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Charles AME Zion Church, 432 Valentine Ave.

There will be an African market all day. Vendor space is available at $35 per table.

There will be a West African dance workshop from 1-2 p.m. and a drumming workshop from 2-3 p.m.

Admission is $15; $5 for children younger than 18.
