Trooper Shoots Man Who Aimed Vehicle At Officer In Region, Police Say A 63-year-old man was shot once by a New York State trooper after he allegedly drove toward a police officer at a high rate of speed after threatening them with a gun.  The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at two locations on Route 97. Ex-Hudson Valley Resident Allegedly Beaten To Death By Parents To Be Buried A 10-year-old girl who spent the first seven years of her life in the Hudson Valley, will be buried Saturday in Newburgh after allegedly being beaten to death by her mother and step-father. Sharon Carrillo, 33, and Julio Carrillo, 51, were arrested on Feb. 28 in Stockton Springs, Maine, for murder after they beat Middletown native Marissa Kennedy on a daily basis, causing injuries that killed her on Feb. 25, the Bangor Daily News reported.
