ID Released For Man Found Burning At Park In Fairfield County A man who was found burning in a park in Fairfield County has been identified by the medical examiner's office. The incident took place in New Canaan around 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the area of Lapham Road near Waveny Park. On Thursday, Aug. 25, the medical examiner's office positively identified the man as Howard Alan Fletcher, age 71, of Norwalk, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police. Body Found Floating In Hudson Valley, Police Say State Police are investigating after a badly decomposed body was found in the Hudson Valley River. The incident took place in Rockland County near Tompkins Vove around 10:15 a.m., on Sunday, July 17. State police were notified by state parks police of a report of a body found in the water on the west side of the Hudson River near the Bear Mountain Boat Dock, said Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. Body Found In Danbury Pond A man's body was found by a resident floating in a pond in Fairfield County. Around 7 p.m., Thursday, April 8, a concerned citizen notified the Danbury Police Department of a possible body submerged in a retention pond at the entrance of 55 Mill Plain Road in Danbury.
