Wrong-Way Driver Killed, Two Teens Seriously Injured On Route 304: Police (Update) A head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Route 304 in New City left one man dead and two teenagers seriously injured on Monday, Dec. 23, Clarkstown Police reported. At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 304 and Second Street. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 35-year-old man from Ohio, driving a 2010 black Hyundai sedan, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2013 silver BMW. The BMW was occupied by an 18-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger, police said. …

Lanes Reopen After I-684 Crash This story has been updated. Two lanes that had been closed following a crash, causing gridlock on a stretch of northbound I-684 late Monday afternoon, have now reopened. The crash occurred at Route 172 (Exit 4) in Bedford, with stopped traffic at the scene and stop-and-go delays to Route 22 (Exit 3) in Armonk.
