Motorist Killed After Striking Guard Rail On Saw Mill River Parkway, Police Say
A 25-year-old man was killed during an overnight crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester.
The Westchester County accident occurred about 2:45 a.m., Monday, June 22, on the southbound Saw Mill just before the Rumsey Road exit, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police.
O'Leary said the driver of a Yamaha motorcycle lost control, veered off the parkway onto the grassy shoulder, struck a guard rail and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Dump Truck Strikes Overpass On I-684, Sending Debris Flying, Causing Closure
A dump truck hit an overpass on I-684, leading to the closure of the roadway in Northern Westchester County.
The crash took place northbound late in the morning on Tuesday, June 16, in Bedford, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police.
According to Hicks, the hydraulics apparently malfunctioned on a 2000 Kenworth dump truck, causing the dump truck's body to strike the Route 35 overpass, sending debris flying.
The truck's body was torn from the truck and came to rest, blocking all three lanes of I-684.
The overpass received minor damage and the driver was not injured, Hicks said.…
IDs Released For Driver From North Salem, Worker Involved In I-684 Crash
A 41-year-old highway construction worker who was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck on I-684 has been identified, along with the motorist.
The incident took place in Putnam County around 3:07 p.m., Monday, May 11, northbound on the highway in the town of Southeast, according to the New York State Police.
An initial investigation found that Richard N. Russo, 48, of North Salem, was northbound in the right lane driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a worker contracted by the New York State Department of Transportation, said Trooper AJ Hicks.

Person Seriously Injured After Falling Or Jumping Onto I-95 In Westchester, Police Say
Two southbound lanes of I-95 in New Rochelle have reopened after a person either fell or jumped onto the highway from an overpass, according to the New York State Police.
The incident took place around 10:08 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the Webster Avenue overpass in New Rochelle, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
The lanes were closed between Exits 15 and 16, McCormick said.
The person, who has not been identified, suffered extensive head injuries and was transported to an area hospital, she said.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area as police investigate the incident, she added.
