Here's Where This Year's Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Will Be Coming From In NY State Now that Spooky Season has come and gone, attention is turning toward the holiday season and all of the festivities and traditions that go along with it, including New York’s iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. This year’s tree is an 82-foot tall Norway Spruce from upstate New York that was grown in Queensbury in Warren County, Rockefeller Center announced on Instagram Tuesday, Nov. 1. Christmas Tree From Hudson Valley To Be Lit Tonight At Rockefeller Center The day has finally arrived -- the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas tree -- and for the second year in a row, one that hails from the Hudson Valley. The tree, which stands 77-feet tall and comes from the home of Carol Schultz of Florida, in Orange County, will burst into light during an entertainment-filled event running from 7 to 10 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Norway spruce, which was planted in 1958, is decked out with 50,000 multi-colored LED lights and will be topped with a Swarovski star next week. Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Will Once Again Come From Hudson Valley Applause, please. For the second time in as many years, the famous Rockefeller Christmas tree is coming from the Hudson Valley. The center announced on Instagram on Monday, Oct. 21, that this year's twinkling giant of a tree is a Norway spruce that hails from the Village of Florida in Orange County. Although they haven't released the details on the tree's height and owners, the center did say the tree will be cut down on Thursday, Nov. 7, and will arrive by truck at Rockefeller Center on Saturday, Nov. 9.  Last year, the Rockefeller Center tree came from Wallkill, also in Orange Coun…
