Beloved Teacher Who Graduated From High School, College In Westchester Dies Suddenly At Age 64
A beloved teacher and longtime Hudson Valley resident has died at the age of 64.
Dutchess County resident Michael Ambron, of Fishkill, died suddenly of heart failure at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, July 26, according to his obituary.
Ambron grew up in the Bronx, and he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers.
He went on to earn degrees from Manhattan College and Iona College, his obituary said.
For 25 years, he worked for IBM in East Fishkill and Southbury, Connecticut, and he served as director of programming, according to his obituary.

But that all changed after her son was diagnosed with a rare condition.
Nine years and many marathons, half-marathons, and 5K races later, she hasn't stopped pushing forward.

A high school sports standout in Connecticut was killed in a single-vehicle crash that also left a 16-year-old girl in critical condition.
New Haven County resident Ryan Rutledge, age 17, of Southbury, died on Monday, April 5, after his Jeep went off the roadway around 10:35 p.m., and hit a wire rope guardrail, before the vehicle traveled down an embankment and into the Pomperaug River, said the Southbury Police.
Both Rutledge, and his passenger, were ejected from the vehicle and found in the Pomperaug River.

Newtown Woman Killed In Two-Car Crash
A 37-year-old Fairfield County woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the area.
Pamela Sheehan, of Newtown, was killed around 3:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, during a crash with another vehicle in Southbury on Southford Road, said the Connecticut State Police.
The crash occurred when Christopher Hannan, of Southbury, was driving a Peterbilt Conventional 330 northbound when he collied with Sheehan's Toyota, which was traveling south, state police said.
Sheehan, 37, of Newtown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man From Area Killed In I-84 Wrong-Way Crash
Funeral services have been set for a Newtown business owner and Greenwich High School graduate who was one of two people killed in a wrong-way crash on I-84.
According to Connecticut State Police, Diego Fernando Jimenez, 48, of Newtown, died following a wrong-way crash around 1 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, on I-84 in Southbury.
State Police said the crash occurred when David Hozer, 46, of Southbury, was traveling the wrong way on westbound I-84 when his 2011 Audi Q5 struck a limousine Jimenez was driving.
