Coyote Sighting Outside Nearby Restaurant Prompts Students To Stay Indoors In Valhalla Valhalla students had to spend the day indoors after a coyote was spotted outside of Sergio's Restaurant. The district said in an email to parents around 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 17, that they made the decision to keep high and middle school students inside after the sighting, which was across the street from the schools at 301 Columbus Ave., Valhalla. Mount Pleasant Police confirmed the sighting but said nothing was spotted by officers.  With the weather warming up, local law enforcement agencies are warning area residents to be aware of coyote sightings.
