Sleeping Driver Crashes Into Scaffolding At Westchester Intersection
A vehicle became tangled in scaffolding after a sleeping driver crashed into it in Westchester, police said. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 3 just before 9: 30 a.m., when a Nissan Rogue crashed into a corner support for scaffolding at the intersection of Vark Street and Jackson Avenue in Yonkers, according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Robert Spink. The driver claimed to have fallen asleep, Spink said, adding that they reported minor injuries. The vehicle is now trapped in the scaffolding and will be until the scaffolding company responds. No criminal charges were filed.…

Car Crashes Into Scaffolding At Apartment Complex In Westchester (

Firefighters and emergency responders raced to an apartment building in Westchester after a vehicle collided with scaffolding near an entrance. The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 30 just after noon, when the vehicle crashed into scaffolding at the Faymor Gardens apartment complex in New Rochelle at 140 Pelham Rd., fire buff Domenic Ramacciato told Daily Voice. The crash caused damage to the scaffolding. The extent of injuries is unknown. Authorities have not released more information about the crash. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Injured Worker Rescued From Scaffolding At Westchester Construction Site
Thanks to the efforts of firefighters, an injured worker was rescued from a second-story scaffolding at a Westchester construction site. The events leading to the rescue began on Friday, May 31 around 4 p.m., when a worker suffered an injury and became trapped on scaffolding at 12 Broad St. in Port Chester near The Capitol Theater, according to the Port Chester Fire Department. Arriving crews found the injured worker on the second story and quickly worked to place them on a stokes basket before safely lowering them to the ground.
