3-Car Collision Leaves Person Injured, Slows Traffic On Route 6 In Mahopac A crash involving three vehicles left a person injured and clogged traffic on a busy Hudson Valley road.  On Wednesday, Dec. 21, around 3:15 p.m., first responders in Putnam County were sent to Route 6 near the Park Ford dealership for a three-car collision, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Upon arriving, police started directing traffic while emergency responders tended to those involved in the accident, members of the department said.  Only one person involved in the crash was found to have minor injuries, and additional help from the Mahopac Falls Volu…

Route 6 Stop In Putnam Leads To DWI Charge For Man, 35 A Danbury man driving with a suspended license and several empty beer bottles in his backseat was busted for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Putnam County. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on June 2, a Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in Southeast stopped 35-year-old Carlos Agosto-Mendez on Route 6 for various vehicle and traffic violations between Argone Road and Starr Ridge Road. During the stop, the deputy reported that Agosto-Mendez appeared to be intoxicated, and he proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
