Settlement Reached In Wrongful Death Suit Involving Area Man
The town of Redding has agreed to pay a settlement to the family of a Poughkeepsie native who committed suicide next to his Fairfield County home two years ago. Members of the Redding Police Department were dispatched to the home of Peter Valenti, 32, on April 11, 2016, after he sent multiple text messages to friends seeking police help. Upon arrival, the officers found him hanging from the rafters in a shed next to his home.
