Carmel Man Faces Shoplifting Charge A man from Carmel has been charged with shoplifting after an incident at a local supermarket. On Thursday, Jan. 24 around 5:15 p.m., police responded to Tops Friendly Markets in Putnam Plaza upon a report of a man taking items from the store. Police arrived and arrested 50-year-old Anthony Bova. He was transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing. Bova was issued an appearance ticket for petit larceny.
