Despite being closed down, there will be a test of the Indian Point Energy Center emergency notification sirens during a test of the system in Buchanan in Westchester this week. Downed Tree Causes Hourslong Route 22 Closure
This story has been updated. A stretch of Route 22 near the border of Northern Westchester and Putnam was closed for hours due to a downed tree. The closure, reported just before 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, was in both directions in the area of Danbury Road (Route 6) in Southeast. The roadway reopened around noontime.
