Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle along a busy Hudson Valley roadway. The incident took place in Rockland County around 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23 in West Nyack. According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police, a man was struck by a vehicle in the area of 116 N. Route 303. The first arriving officers found the man lying on the right shoulder of northbound Rt. 303, Peters said. Person Struck By Tractor-Trailer On I-84 A pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer and seriously injured on I-84 in Fairfield County. Connecticut State Police said the incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25 near Exit 11 in Newtown. Responding troopers said the person was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The roadway was closed for several hours, backing up traffic for at least eight miles, before reopening later on Monday morning. The extent of injuries was not immediately provided. Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Delivery Van In Westchester A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a delivery van in Westchester. The incident happened around 5:32 a.m., Monday, March 8, when the New York State Police received a report from NYPD of a pedestrian struck by a delivery van in the southbound lanes of I-95 just north of Exit 14 in the town of Pelham, said the New York State Police.
