Man Admits To 37 Robberies Including 1 In Westchester County A Connecticut man has admitted to committing at least 37 violent robberies across the state in 2022.  Hartford County resident Lonny Cross, age 45, of Bristol, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, May 21, for the crimes that ranged from Hartford to Fairfield County and one in New York in September and October 2022, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Stew Leonard's Eyes This Location For Next New Store Stew Leonard's is eyeing a familiar location as a possible location for its next new supermarket. The Connecticut-based company confirmed on Wednesday, May 8, that the town of Orange in New Haven County is one of several locations being "looked at" for the family-owned grocer's ninth location, according to Meghan Bell, a spokeswoman for the company. Area Man ID'd As Fatal Crash Victim Police have identified a 36-year-old Fairfield County man killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 34 in New Haven County on Tuesday morning. Christopher Etes of Sandy Hook was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Buckingham Road, according to the Derby Police. Etes, who was driving a Jeep when he crashed into a box truck, was the driver at fault in the incident, Derby Police said in a statement.
