Father, Son Injured During Motorcycle Crash In Area A father and son were injured while out for a motorcycle ride after the father lost control of the vehicle and slid off the highway, police say. The crash took place in Putnam County at around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 7, when James Fordham, 54, and his 12-year-old son, Dominick Fordham, were heading eastbound on Route 301 near Forest Court in Kent when a car stopped to make a right turn in front of the motorcycle, said Kent Police Chief Kevin R. Matthew Hickey, of Verplanck, was killed while driving riding a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle east on Kings Ferry Road in Montrose, a hamlet of Cortlandt, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, during a crash with another vehicle, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
