Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Stealing $1K Worth Of Items From Lowe's Store A Hudson Valley man was arrested and accused of stealing merchandise worth $1,000 from a Connecticut store more than seven years ago. That merchandise was allegedly stolen from Lowe's, located in New Haven County at 311 Old Gate Lane in Milford, in October of 2014, the Milford Police Department said. Dutchess County resident Michael Horowitz, age 30, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, March 18, in the incident, police said.  He was charged with fifth-degree larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, authorities said.

ID Fraud Suspect Used Fake CT License At The Westchester Mall, Police Say Police are asking the public for help identifying a woman who is a suspect in an identity theft investigation. The identity theft occurred March 2 at which time the suspect attempted to make purchases and open credit card accounts by falsely using the identity of a Connecticut resident, said Milford Police Officer Joesph Dempsey. Westchester Woman Caught Shoplifting At ShopRite, Police Say A Westchester woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the ShopRite store in Connecticut. Tracy Larmonie, 24, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday for larceny, interfering with an officer, and possession of narcotics, said Milford Police Officer Joseph Dempsey. Larmonie was arrested after police responded to the ShopRite store at 935 Boston Post Road (Route 1) on a report of a shoplifter in custody, said Dempsey. Westchester Man Grabs Woman By Neck In Front Of Child, Takes Her Vehicle In CT, Police Say A 33-year-old Westchester man was arrested after grabbing a woman by the neck in front of her child while forcibly taking her car keys in Connecticut. Darel Franklin of Port Chester was arrested on Saturday by Milford Police after receiving a report of a domestic dispute, said the Milford Police Department. He later allegedly took the victim's vehicle without her permission. Franklin was charged with disorderly conduct, robbery, larceny, assault, and risk of injury to a child.  He is being held on $75,000 bond.

Man Attempting To Hang Himself Rescued In Milford, Police Say A Milford police officer saved a man who attempted to hang himself after calling the police, the department said on Twitter. According to the Milford Police Department, the department received a call around 9 a.m. from a resident who said they were considering harming themselves, the Twitter post said. Milford Officer Will Barbour was working a private duty job near the residence and quickly responded.  When he arrived he found the man hanging from a rope on his deck and quickly cut him down with the assistance of the Milford Fire Department Rescue. Fairfield County Teen Killed In Dirt Bike Crash A Fairfield County teen died following a crash after the dirt bike he was riding slammed into the back of a parked dump truck, according to the Milford Police. Vincent Annuzzi-Rivers, 19, died around 3 p.m. Tuesday when the dirt bike he was driving northbound on Lori Drive near Teresa Drive struck the parked dump truck, said the Milford Police. Annuzzi-Rivers died at the scene.
