An 18-year-old will spend several years in prison after fatally shooting a Westchester man as he was leaving a store. Maliki Johnson, age 18, of Dover, Delaware was sentenced to nine years to life in state prison on Friday, May 5 for the 2020 murder of Yonkers resident Javon Merrill, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced. Westchester Teen Pleads Guilty To Assault For High School Stabbing
A teenager has pleaded guilty to assault for his role in a high school in Westchester County stabbing earlier this year. Bryan Stamps, 16, appeared in Westchester County Court on Thursday following his extradition from Alabama in May. Stamps had been charged as a juvenile offender on charges that include second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. Danbury Teen Whose Punch Led To Gabe Bardo's Death Pleads Guilty
A teenager who delivered the fatal blow that led to the death of Gabe Bardo last year during a drug deal pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Lorenzo Santana, 17, accepted a plea deal Monday from prosecutors, confirmed Prosecutor Deborah Mabbett. “He demanded marijuana from Gabe and struck him in the head,” Mabbett told the court. “Gabe laid down on the ground and never regained consciousness. He was pronounced dead a day later.” Mabbett said that following a pre-sentencing investigation, Santana faces four to 15 years in prison.
