$41M To Go Toward Expanding, Modernizing Hospital In Westchester
New York State officials have dedicated tens of millions of dollars toward expanding and transforming facilities and equipment at a Westchester County hospital. In an announcement on Monday, Sept. 30, Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard revealed a $41 million capital investment from New York State that will go towards Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital. $1 Million Project: Animal Shelter To Be Reconstructed In Westchester
After years of neglect, an animal shelter in Westchester that closed earlier in 2023 is getting $1 million toward restoring and enhancing its services, city officials announced. The Mount Vernon Animal Shelter, which closed earlier in 2023, will receive a million dollars in funding that will go toward "essential resources" needed to restore its operation, city officials said. Odds are improving for legalized sports betting at Empire City in Yonkers, Resorts World Catskills in Monticello as well as Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center.
