Election 2024: Winner Projected In 16th Congressional District Representing Much Of Westchester The votes are in, and New York's 16th Congressional District now knows its next representative in Congress.  Democrat George Latimer has been projected as the winner for the House seat representing the southern portion of Westchester, including White Plains, Mount Vernon, Yonkers, New Rochelle, and Rye, and a small part of the northern Bronx, defeating Republican Miriam Flisser, according to the state Board of Elections. $4.1M Paving Project Begins On Route 35/202 In Yorktown To Fix 'Unacceptable' Disrepair An extensive $4.1 million paving project meant to greatly improve a well-traveled route in Northern Westchester has commenced.  The project, which will consist of the resurfacing and paving of around three miles of Route 35/202 in Yorktown, has officially begun, New York State Senator Pete Harckham and Assemblyman Matt Slater announced on Monday, Nov. 13.  The work will focus on a stretch of the busy route beginning at the Taconic State Parkway and ending at the intersection with Route 118 in the commercial center of Yorktown Heights, according to Harckham's office.…
