Duo Charged With Stealing Car, Credit Cards In Northern Westchester: Police Two people, one a minor, have been charged with stealing a car and other items in Northern Westchester, police say.  On Monday, Nov. 7, police responded to a report that two suspects were trespassing on private property and attempting to break into locked vehicles in Croton-on-Hudson, according to Croton-on-Hudson Police.  Police soon located the two suspects and found them to be in possession of stolen property, including two credit cards, police said.  After further investigation, police also found out that the duo had stolen a vehicle with the key fob left insid…

Parking Restrictions, Lane Closures Announced For Road Resurfacing In Northern Westchester A milling and paving project will lead to road closures and parking restrictions in Croton-on-Hudson for several days. Milling and resurfacing on Hillside Avenue, Prospect Place and High Street is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8. Police said that cars should be removed from those roadways before work begins, or else they risk being towed or ticketed. Northern Westchester Street To Be Closed For Drainage Project A busy street in Northern Westchester will be closed for several hours as crews continue working on a drainage project in the area. Officials from Croton-on-Hudson issued an alert on Wednesday cautioning that as part of the High Street drainage project, the roadway will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30. The closure is expected to span from Riverside Avenue to Palmer Avenue as contractors replace an existing drainage crossing on High Street. Emergency vehicles will be permitted to pass through the work area during the project. Detours are expected to be posted.
