Boil Water Notice In Effect After Pressure Restored To One-Third Of Danbury A boil water notice is in effect for all Danbury water customers until further notice following a large water main break that left one-third of the city without water, according to city officials.The problem began Monday and grew in scope early Tuesday when a 16-inch water line broke underneath Tamarack Avenue and Hayestown avenues broke. Firefighters Rescue Swan Stuck In Ice On Candlewood Lake When it comes to being a firefighter you never know who or what you might rush to save.  Friday, Danbury firefighters were busy saving a large white swan stuck in the ice at Poets Landing. The department said on their Facebook page that they were called for a public assist for the report of a swan stuck in the ice in the area of Candlewood Lake near Hayestown Avenue.
