Man Enters Manslaughter Plea For Crash That Killed Hudson Valley Man A man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the connection with a crash that killed a man in Sullivan County. Investigation Reveals Official Horse Death Count In Hudson Valley Barn Fire The official death count in the early Saturday morning fire that turned deadly at a horse barn in Orange County has been disclosed. The remains of 24 horses were found following the blaze, according to an investigation by Orange County fire officials.  Orange County Deputy Fire Commissioner Vini Tankasali said all the horses housed in the barn at the Mount Hope Training Center were killed in the blaze. Born in Poughkeepsie, she lived in North Haledon before moving to Hawthorne. She is survived by her husband, Josh Preiskines; children Joshua Jr., Blake John, Wyatt and Remington “Remi” Preiskines; parents John and Brenda (nee Jonkman) Nienhouse; and sister Kristina Nienhouse.
