Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Welcomes New Ambulance The Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department has received delivery of “the new kid on the block." For the first time in 40 years, the four-wheel drive Ford 450 truck chassis was voted to go with a four-wheel drive Ford 450 truck chassis after having all "van fronts" on the department's rigs. Since the 4x4 truck chassis rides high, mechanics have installed an “air dump” switch both in the cab and at the back door of the patient compartment.
