One Critically Injured In Three-Alarm Condo Fire One person is in critical condition following a three-alarm fire at a Fairfield County townhouse. The fire started around 8:15 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Sterling Townhouse Complex off of Nabby Road in Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communication coordinator for the Danbury Fire Department.  First arriving firefighters were met with a large column of smoke and a second alarm was transmitted, Gagliardo said. Electrical Fire At High-Rise Westchester Apartment Forces Hundreds To Evacuate Hundreds of Westchester residents were forced to evacuate a 19-story high rise apartment building in Yonkers when a fire broke out, officials said. A fire broke out at a Central Park Avenue apartment complex shortly after 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Flynn said. The fire forced approximately 250 units to be cleared after flames broke out in the building.
