A Westchester man faces felony charges after crashing into a man while he was walking in a crosswalk on a New York roadway, leaving them critically injured, police announced. White Plains resident Joseph Jensen, age 54, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 28 in connection with an incident in the Ulster County village of Ellenville, Ellenville Police said. Know Him? Police Seek Person Of Interest In Burglary At Hudson Valley Store
Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who allegedly burglarized a Hudson Valley store. The incident took place in Ulster County during the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 14 in Ellenville. Ellenville Police said the man burglarized the Dollar General store. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 845-647-4422. Police ask that if you see him, do not approach him, instead call 911.

Threat Leads To Lockdown At Schools In Hudson Valley After Student 'Jokes' About Having Gun
A junior high school and an elementary school were placed in lockdown in the Hudson Valley after a student "joked" about having a gun. The incident took place in Ulster County around 10:40 a.m., Thursday, May 26. Police responded to Ellenville Junior High school after the 13-year-old student alleged to have a gun as he was talking to another teen, said Chief Philip Mattracion, of the Ellenville Police. A 13-year-old student in upstate New York is facing charges after authorities say he brought an 8-inch knife to a school in the Hudson Valley and intended to stab a school staffer. The incident happened in Ulster County on Monday morning, May 16 at Ellenville Junior High School. A 12-year-old Hudson Valley girl was able to intimidate a nude man who had shimmied through her bedroom window on Christmas Eve, causing him to flee the scene after she sprang up from bed to demand that he leave, police said.
