Police Locate Car In Crash That Killed Danbury Man Police have located a car that hit and killed a Connecticut man and then fled the scene. The crash took place in Litchfield County around 5:11 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, in New Milford. Fairfield County resident Galo Rafael Guaman-Sarmiento, age 61, of Danbury, was crossing Danbury Road when he was struck by a 2013-2016 black Ford Fusion, said the New Milford Police. The driver, who has not been found, fled the scene, and Guaman-Sarmiento was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police have been searching for the Fusion since the crash and located it on Saturday, Nov. 12, police said. …

Daniel Kendrick, 29, was killed about 5:55 p.m., Friday, June 7, after being trapped in a conveyor belt system at New Milford Block and Supply Corporation at 574 Danbury Road, said New Milford Police Lt. Lawrence Ash. The accident remains under investigation by the New Milford Police Department, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Police in New Milford have issued an alert regarding a 1968 gray Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 that was last seen at the Bennett Automotive auto body shop on Danbury Road before it was allegedly stolen. According to police, the Mustang was last seen at the auto shop on Oct. 3, 2016, when it was listed for sale. The investigation into the stolen vehicle is ongoing.
