2 Officers Injured By Shoplifting Suspect In Westchester: 'Increasing Trend,' Police Say Two officers were injured during a struggle with a shoplifting suspect in Westchester, including one who sustained a hematoma after being head-butted, police said. The injuries resulted from an incident on Saturday, March 23, when two Port Chester Police officers began struggling with a 28-year-old man after telling him he was under arrest for shoplifting, the department said.  The struggle caused damage to several store displays and during the altercation, an officer was head-butted by the suspect. Troopers responded to Dogwood Road in the town of Cortlandt for a reported neighbor dispute on Saturday, Jan. 12. Investigation by the troopers discovered the suspect, Anthony W. Perez of Yonkers, arrived at the residence, engaged in a domestic dispute with the current resident, and engaged in a dispute with separate victim outside, state police said.
