A Westchester woman has admitted to fatally stabbing a man during a domestic dispute earlier this year. Yonkers resident Chanelle Franklin, 34, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of Khalif Kennedy in February. Franklin and Kennedy reportedly had a child together. On Feb. 2, Franklin stabbed Kennedy in her Caryl Avenue apartment, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at the residence and found Kennedy with a life-threatening stab wound to his neck. 15 Displaced As Fire Breaks Out At Three-Story, Multi-Family House In Westchester
Fifteen residents have been displaced after a two-alarm fire sparked in a multi-family home on Christmas night. Firefighters were dispatched to a three-story Locust Hill Avenue home shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, when a fire broke out in the walls and ceilings of all three floors, Yonkers Deputy Chief Daniel Flynn said. Crews were on scene within two minutes, Flynn noted. The fire was knocked down and under control by 11:27 p.m. According to Flynn, four firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze.
