An off-duty Westchester County firefighter proved himself to be a hero when he saved a woman from burning alive in her car. On Saturday, Nov. 26 around 3:10 a.m., firefighters in Connecticut responded to a reported car fire with an injured woman trapped inside in Northern Fairfield County at Route 7 northbound in Brookfield in the area of the Junction Road overpass, according to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company. Two Hospitalized After Crash On Candlewood Lake Road
Two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Fairfield County. The crash took place around 6:45 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, at the intersection of Candlewood Lake Road and Huckleberry Hill Road in Brookfield, said the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company. At the time of the crash, a member of the fire department witnessed the event and immediately called for assistance. Six Injured In Two-Car Route 7 Rollover Crash
Two vehicles collided and both subsequently rolled over, with a total of six injuries reported in a serious crash on Route 7 North in Brookfield on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company requested the assistance of Danbury for a serious motor vehicle crash. The Danbury Fire Department, under command of Deputy Chief Bernie Meehan responded with Car 30, Engine 24, Squad 1, a City EMS Ambulance, and a Danbury Ambulance Service unit.
