School District Taps New Superintendent In Westchester: 'I Am Very Excited'
A school district in Westchester has announced who will succeed its outgoing superintendent after his upcoming retirement. In an announcement on Monday, April 1, the Ardsley Union Free School District revealed that Matthew Block would take over as superintendent effective on Monday, July 1. Block will succeed Ryan Schoenfeld, who will retire at the end of the 2023-2024 school year after serving in the position for six years. Doctor From Ridgefield Dies Suddenly
A "dedicated physician" with two offices in Fairfield County, Dr. Donald Gordon, of Ridgefield, died suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at age 64. Gordon was born to Leo and Fryda Gordon on June 15, 1955, in Schenectady, New York. Dr. Gordon earned his bachelor of science from American University in 1977, and a doctor of medicine (MD) from the Emory School of Medicine in 1981.
