NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The boys soccer team at North Salem High School became state champions on Sunday, marking the Tigers' first state title since 1993.
The North Salem Tigers (16-5) beat the World of Inquiry Griffins (20-1-1) in overtime 2-1 at Sunday's state championships held at Middletown High School.
Michael Bossi scored the winning goal in the last three minutes of play.
Goalkeeper James Buzzetto had a total of 16 saves, according to lohud.com.
