Pequenakonck Students Making Masks For Contest

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A mask making competition is under way at Pequenakonck Elementary School. 

Voters can cast ballots at Pequenakonck Elementary School in North Salem on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

All students in grades K to 5 are invited to make a scary or funny mask by the Oct. 20 deadline.

The PTO and North Salem Recreation Department are sponsoring the contest and a first place price will be awarded to each grade's winner.

Second-place and third-place place winners will receive award ribbons.

All students who enter will receive a participation ribbon.

Masks with the student's name and teacher are to be turned into the school office Tuesday for judging. Masks will then be on display in the library area.
