Pace Professor Takes A Walk On The Wild Side Down Under

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University professor Christopher Walther was nominated to attend the 2015 International Summit for the Golden Key International Honour Society this past July, and presented to delegates from across the world.

Held blocks from the beach in Gold Coast, Australia, the summit welcomed representatives from colleges and universities across the globe. During the four days, Walther led a workshop at the conference titled The Psychology of Civic Engagement and Prosocial Behavior. He is the on the Council of Advisors for Golden Key International Honour Society.

Headquartered in Atlanta, the Honour Society has over 400 chapters in 8 countries, and is restricted to invitation only for top college students.

The Pace chapter, along with groups from Australia, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, South Africa, was recognized with the Key Chapter award. According to the honor society's website, the Key Chapter Award is presented annually to select Golden Key chapters that have achieved a Gold chapter standard and then gone above and beyond.

Walther received his BS in psychology from Pace in 2002 and his masters in Counseling Psychology a year later. He currently serves as an academic services coordinator for the College of Health Professions and is an adjunct assistant professor.
