Annual PQ Harvest Fair to Be Held Outdoors

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. - The PQ School usually holds a Halloween Fair for students in October, but this year, for the first time, they are expanding it into a community-wide event.

The PQ Harvest Fair will be celebrated on the school grounds on Saturday, October 22, from noon to 3 p.m.

Every PQ class will participate by running a booth, or a game or an activity. There will be a popcorn booth, a candy booth, and a sizzling barbecue. The annual Fifth Grade Bake Sale will be held as well, to satisfy any lingering sweet tooth. Local vendors will sell art, jewelry, clothing and skin care products.

As for Halloween, it has not been forgotten. An inflatable haunted house will provide chills and thrills and an obstacle course will provide glorious challenges. To top it off, the Croton Falls Fire Department will be on hand with a shiny red firetruck, welcoming kids of all ages to climb aboard.

Accuweather.com is predicting a cool and sunny day, but just in case -- the rain date for the Harvest Festival is October 29.
