Woman Charged With Harassment In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 29-year-old resident of Putnam Valley on a harassment charge, following an altercation at a local residence.

Police were dispatched to a residence in Van Cortlandt Circle for a reported harassment on Thursday, according to officials.

Police conducted an investigation at the scene; the suspect, identified as Emily A. Nilsson, is alleged to have yelled profanities at the victim and charged at the victim in a threatening manner, causing the victim annoyance and alarm, police report.

Nilsson was taken into custody and charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation, according to police.

After processing, the defendant was released on her own recognizance to a family member, officials report.

She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court for arraignment on Tuesday, April 19, police report.
