Police Seek Info On Croton Falls Hit-And-Run

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The New York State Police continue to seek information about a hit-and-run auto accident Monday morning in which a man was hit at the intersection of Route 22 and Bridge Street near the Croton Falls Train Station and dragged along Bridge Street.

Shortly after the 5:10 a.m. incident, an MTA employee said the victim may have been hit by a train, according to North Salem Police. But further investigation revealed that he had been hit by a car. Police canvassed the area and parking lots but found no suspicious vehicles.

The victim was originally taken to Danbury Hospital, police said, but was transferred to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he remains in critical condition. His name has not been released.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact the State Police at 914-277-3651.
