NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – North Salem police, along with state police, were called to a Route 22 residence in Croton Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 13, to investigate a fraud complaint.

The victim told police that, in August, she filed a report with the state police regarding fraudulent activity on three of her credit cards. That incident is still under investigation. On Nov. 13, she said she was contacted by GE Capital Bank and was informed that her personal information was being used again to obtain credit on her Master Card.

North Salem police requested that state troopers respond to the location. They were apprised of the situation and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation was then notified of the specifics of the case. A report of the Nov. 13 incident was filed with state place and the investigation in the fraud complaint will continue.
