Man Seriously Injured In Route 22 Accident

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man from the Town of Kent was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Patterson on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The Putnam Sheriff's Department reports a man from the Town of Kent was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 22.

According to Putnam County Sheriff's Department, a motorcycle driven by Anthony Massimo collided with a Suzuki SUV while driving south on Rte. 22 while the SUV was travelling north and turning left onto Old Road.

Massimo reportedly went airborne upon impact and the motorcycle struck a third vehicle. After being treated at the scene by the Patterson and Putnam Lake Fire Departments and Transcare EMS, Massimo was transported to westchester Medical Center. He is listed as being in critical, but stable, condition.

Eric Single, the driver of the SUV, and Sarah Barab, the driver of the third vehicle were reportedly uninjured.
