Car Rolls Over Wall, Hits Another Vehicle In N. Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A 2007 Volkswagen parked on Bonnieview Road rolled down a hill, across a lawn and over a stone wall, crashing into a 2006 Lexus parked in a driveway several houses away. Police responded and arranged for the Volkswagen to be towed away. There was no personal injury in the incident, which occurred on July 25.

North Salem Police also reported the following incidents:

• A man was thrown from his horse on Hardscrabble Road on Saturday morning, hitting his head as he fell. He was wearing a helmet. The Croton Falls Volunteer Fire Department and the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the call. The rider was taken to Danbury Hospital for examination and treatment.

• Police received numerous complaints from Titicus Road residents Monday morning concerning a raucous party that went on all weekend in the area. Officer Silvio Ruvolo interviewed the party’s host, who agreed that the party was loud. The man apologized for disturbing his neighbors and causing inconvenience and assured Ruvolo that it would not happen again.
